A new COVID-19 testing site is set to open with the capacity of testing 300 people per day.

Austin Public Health is expected to open the site July 20 at The Pfield in Pflugerville, according to a July 16 city news release. Tests will be available Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m.-noon, per the release.

As of July 15, the latest available Travis County data, there are 1,152 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the 78660 ZIP code, which covers Pflugerville and part of North Austin.

Residents are encouraged to wear masks in public spaces, frequently wash their hands and adhere to social distancing measures.
