The cities of Pflugerville and Hutto have closed city facilities and offices as a result of forecast inclement weather.

Announcements came Feb. 2 ahead of freezing weather predicted for Feb. 3 and beyond.

In Pflugerville, officials said City Hall, Pflugerville Animal Welfare Services, the recreation center, the public library, the Justice Center and other administrative offices will be closed at least through Feb. 3.

Additionally, Waste Connections is suspending trash and recycling service Feb. 3 and will continue to monitor conditions for Friday and Saturday. CapMetro is also suspending non-emergency services.

In Hutto, officials announced City Hall and the public library will be closed Feb. 3 and Feb. 4, and canceled the City Council meeting scheduled for Feb. 3. That meeting has been rescheduled for Feb. 10.
