City staff provided an update on several major road projects funded through the city's capital improvement program Oct. 2
The details
Updates on CIP projects included:
FM 1660 at Limmer Loop
- Scope: construction of turn lanes and signal improvements
- Status: complete
- Scope: construction of turn lanes and signal improvements
- Status: design complete, pending approval from Union Pacific Railroad. The project is expected to go out for bid in 2026.
- Scope: design and construction to upgrade Live Oak Street from West Street to Fritz Park
- Status: design in review while the city is working on right-of-way acquisition and utility coordination
- Scope: improvements to the intersection of Exchange Boulevard and Limmer Loop
- Status: complete
- Scope: improvements to Exchange Boulevard from Hwy. 79 to Holland Street, including improvements at an intersection with Live Oak Street
- Status: design completed, city is in the process of negotiating right-of-way acquisition
