Dan Thornton was sworn in for the City Council Place 2 seat during Hutto City Council's May 12 special called meeting.
Thornton ran as an incumbent during the May 1 election. He was appointed to the Place 2 seat in September 2020 following the resignation of former Council Member Tom Hines.
