Hutto voters have until April 2, 2026, to register or update their information ahead of a May 2 election that will decide City Council seats and Hutto ISD board positions.
What you should know
Texas requires voters to be registered about 30 days before election day. Missing the deadline could prevent eligible residents from casting a ballot, unless they qualify for a limited ballot during early voting.

Williamson County has not yet mailed 2026 voter registration cards, but voters do not need the card to vote. A valid photo ID is required at polling places.

Meet the candidates
Two seats on the Hutto City Council—Place 1 and Place 4—are up for election this May.
Place 1 is currently held by interim council member Charles Warner, while Peter Gordon represents Place 4.
Warner was appointed Jan. 8 to complete the term of former council member Brian Thompson, who resigned in December. Warner said he will not run in the May election.
Gordon is term-limited and ineligible to seek reelection. City Council terms are three years.

Five candidates are running for two at-large seats on the Hutto ISD board of trustees, with terms currently held by Felix Chavez and Shara Turner set to expire. Turner did not file for reelection.
