In a Nov. 20 capital improvement update from Sledge Engineering, the firm managing the 2023 bond program, company President Casey Sledge said the new school is currently under design by VLK Architects.
Remember this?
The land acquisition for this campus was announced by HISD in October. The site near the Flora housing development cost $6 million and was funded through the 2023 bond. At the time of the announcement, plans for a specific campus at this site were not shared.
What's next?
The elementary school has a targeted opening of summer 2028, Sledge said.
