An electric vehicle sales center and a new residential building are among the newest projects filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Here are five of the most expensive projects filed with the TDLR in the Austin metro this week.

1. Gunter Street residential building

A five-story, multifamily building with a five-story parking garage is planned near the East Seventh Street H-E-B.

  • Estimated timeline: May 1, 2026-Aug. 1, 2028
  • Estimated cost: $80 million
2. Kelly Lane Phase 3

The city of Pflugerville will reconstruct curbs and gutters, four roundabouts and 10-inch sidewalks on each side of the road. Phase 2 of the projected completed in late 2025.
  • Location: Kelly Lane, from Moorlynch Avenue to Weiss Lane, Pflugerville
  • Estimated timeline: Oct. 1, 2026-March 31, 2030
  • Estimated cost: $40 million
3. AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center

A redesign of The University of Texas hotel interior will repurpose an existing lecture hall into a 198,000-square-foot conference hall.

  • Estimated timeline: Dec. 1, 2025-Aug. 31, 2026
  • Estimated cost: $19 million
4. Rivian Electric Vehicle Service and Sales Center


Rivian, an electric vehicle company with locations across the United States and Canada, plans to expand into the Round Rock area with a 48,000-square-foot facility to service and sell electric vehicles. The company already operates two other Austin-area locations at South Congress Avenue and Morrow Street.

5. The Worship Place, Above & Beyond Way Campus

Construction is planned for an 18,500-square-foot campus of The Worship Place in Georgetown and will include heating, ventilation and air-conditioning, plus electrical and plumbing work.
