The Italian-based advanced manufacturing company Caracol opened its U.S. headquarters in Pflugerville this month.

The overview

Caracol is an industrial 3D printer manufacturer that works with aerospace, construction, automotive, railway and other industries. The 10,000-square-foot facility production center in Pflugerville triples the company’s space for systems productions and application development, according to a news release.

The company’s Heron AM robotic platform prints parts in composite material with no shape or scale limits, while its Vipra AM system prints metal parts for various industrial machinery. Caracol’s new location also includes space to develop special projects for local manufacturing companies, providing access to the company’s engineering services, materials and product testings.

What they’re saying

“This new facility will allow us to accelerate innovation and deliver solutions tailored specifically for the North American market, where demand is growing rapidly,” Francesco De Stefano, CEO of Caracol, said in the release. “When we opened our first Austin office in 2023, it was about establishing a presence; now it’s about building capability. This expansion means faster progress, closer collaboration with our customers and solutions designed for their unique challenges—not to mention supporting domestic production in the U.S. As one of Europe’s fastest-growing deep tech companies, we’re excited to bring that same momentum to North America.”
