Overview
The Baylor Scott & White Hutto clinic expanded its space to add more exam rooms, increase the lobby size, and expand lab and nurse stations.
Chris Kriczky, Vice President of operations of primary care services for the greater Austin region, said the clinic has also added physicians and advanced practice providers. Additionally, the clinic plans to soon add urgent care services, which will be available on weekdays and weekends.
This is the second expansion for the clinic, which opened in 2007, and due to demand added more exam rooms and a larger lobby in 2010.
The conditions
Since 2021, patient visits have nearly doubled at the clinic, creating the need for more space to serve the community.
In December, the U.S. Census Bureau released data showing that Hutto added over 8,200 residents between 2018-2023.
“You guys all see it every day—the growth that we’re having here in Hutto and in Williamson County,” Kriczky said. “We all feel that and see it, so we need to be here to support the community of Hutto and the growth that’s occurring here.”
While many of its patients are Hutto locals, the clinic also receives visits from people in Taylor, Manor, Rockdale, Elgin and beyond, said Dr. Minal Parikh, who has been at the facility since 2016.
“I have some parents and families that drive almost 45 minutes to come see us here just for care,” Parikh said.
The clinic, located at 120 Ed Schmidt Blvd., Hutto, provides more preventive, primary and pediatric care to Hutto and the surrounding community. Learn more about the facility here.
