Tri Point Homes, one of several homebuilders constructing new houses in Hutto’s Flora development, started construction in early November, according to a news release.

The overview

Located within the master-planned community spanning 835 acres in Hutto, Tri Pointe is bringing new single-family homes spanning 1,600-2,750 square feet in the Flora development.

Seven flexible floorpans are featured within the builder’s new supply, including homes with lofts, game rooms and primary suites on the first or second floors. This is one of three locations throughout the Austin area where Tri Pointe is building new homes, with the others at Park Central in Georgetown and Lagos Reserve in Manor.

“For more than a decade, Austin has consistently ranked in the top two fastest-growing large metro areas in the country, and our new communities are anticipated to provide residents with diverse home offerings that support the dynamic lifestyles Austin Metro residents enjoy,” Bryan Havel, division president of Tri Pointe Homes Austin, said in the release.

Tri Pointe is also one of seven different builders in the Flora community, which is expected to include 2,800 single-family homes once the project is fully built out. Other plans for the community include:
  • Market square for farmers markets and gatherings
  • Welcome center
  • Clubhouse
  • Pool
  • Fitness center
  • Playground
  • Splash pad
The first sales for homes in the Flora community are expected to begin by the end of this year, with the grand opening anticipated for the first quarter of 2025.
