In the next step toward its new City Hall facility, Pflugerville City Council approved a professional services agreement with AGCM Inc. on Jan. 25.

The $133,214 agreement covers a variety of needs assessment and programming services.

Specifically, AGCM will assist the city in establishing a budget, programs scope and milestones schedule for the project. AGCM will also help coordinate communication between the city and potential builders.

The goal of the project is to create a facility that will house several different city departments currently located in separate buildings around the city. The new facility will be located on a 29-acre plot of land at the northwest corner of FM 685 and Pecan Street.

The project is also planned to extend Main Street farther east, connecting the street with FM 685.

Council will consider next steps on the project once the needs assessment phase is complete.
