In January, the chamber announced that its board of directors and former CEO Kristen Cepak mutually agreed to part ways as part of a planned transition.
Cepak led the chamber for three years and stepped down Jan. 7.
Cox just moved from Naperville, Illinois, where she was in the chamber world for nine years before starting and running a fractional marketing company. She has a degree in marketing and economics from Northeastern Illinois University.
“I am currently a team of one who is excited to expand and revamp the chamber for the next chapter,” Cox said. “I hope to bring stability, innovation, and fun to our organization and its members.”
