As part of the process to update its transit service plan, Capital Metro is seeking input from the public at several open house events in September.
On Aug. 22, Capital Metro staffers and consultant Transportation Management & Design Inc.
unveiled a draft plan of proposed bus and rail service changes. The proposal is part of the agency’s yearlong study of its service network called Connections 2025.
Among the changes are recommendations to increase frequency on both the MetroRapid and local bus routes, consolidate duplicate bus lines, offer one price for bus fare, launch more MetroRapid routes and create mobility hubs to connect to other transportation options.
