Salvation Pizza is the newest restaurant to join the locally focused Rock Rose district of Domain Northside, and another Austin staple, 24 Diner, will join in next year.

Rock Rose is a district of local restaurants and bars in the newest phase of The Domain called Domain Northside, which was developed by Austin-based Endeavor Real Estate Group  and opened in January.

Opening its doors Aug. 16, the third location of Salvation Pizza is located at 11501 Rock Rose Ave., Ste. 146, Austin. The pizzeria features indoor and outdoor seating where guests can enjoy its pizzas, pastas, sandwiches and desserts. The restaurant also serves craft beer and wine.

A grand opening is planned for Aug. 31, and a portion of proceeds from sales will benefit A Glimmer of Hope Austin, which empowers disadvantaged Austin residents by helping them make a positive impact in their lives.

On Aug. 17, ELM Restaurant Group announced the second location of 24 Diner will open in Rock Rose in summer 2017.

“We have always had the goal of expansion for 24 Diner in the back of our minds and have gotten requests from fans across the globe to open up shop in their towns,” ELM principal Bob Gillett said in a news release. “We love the energy and accessibility of the Rock Rose location, so when the opportunity arose, we felt it was the perfect next step to putting that plan in motion. We are very excited about being a part of this new and vibrant community.”

The 6,000-square-foot diner will be located on the northeast corner of Rock Rose Avenue and Esperanza Crossing at 3100 Esperanza Crossing, Ste. 100, Austin.

Grand Lux Cafe

In The Domain I, operated by Simon Property Group, the creators of The Cheesecake Factory plan to open a new location of Grand Lux Cafe.

“Grand Lux Cafe is known for creating a sense of exploration for our guests through our international cuisine, but with the spirit of an all-American restaurant,” Cheesecake Factory Founder David Overton said in a news release. “We hope that guests from the Austin area will enjoy exploring the world through our signature dishes for years to come.”

On the menu will be entrees representing cuisine from throughout the world, including burgers, pastas, salads and sandwiches. Comfort food options will include Salisbury steak and Thai Fried Chicken. Grand Lux Cafe’s signature red velvet pancakes and “The Best” Eggs Benedict will be featured on the weekend brunch menu.
