Bumpsuit is opening its first physical location in Domain Northside this November.

The details

The business will fill the 3,000-square-foot space previously occupied by the Skims workshop, according to a news release.

The store will sell intimates, shapewear, loungewear, healing compression wear, occasion wear for events and baby showers, and more. In addition, the store will feature the Bumpsuit Marketplace which will showcase 25 products vetted by moms.

The location will offer an interactive play and seating area to accommodate families and children shopping. The community can look forward to weekly in-store events including labor and delivery classes, mommy and me events, and sound baths.

The backstory

Nicole Trunfio founded the business in 2020 during her third pregnancy after searching for a versatile solution between pregnancy and postpartum style, as mentioned in the news release. Trunfio said the success of the brand’s first pop-up location in Los Angeles sparked the interest in opening a location in Austin.

“Not only will our Austin store carry all of our high-quality products and apparel, but it will serve as a place for moms to gather, learn, access resources and support each other,” Trunfio said in the news release.

Quote of note

“Bumpsuit fills an underserved segment and space in retail, revolutionizing how women dress during a transformative time, breaking barriers by offering stylish clothing for expecting mothers, and empowering them with self-confidence, resources, and support,” President of Northwood Retail Ward Kampf said in the news release.
