Nonprofit Austin Diaper Bank will kick off its Super Summer Diaper Drive on July 1.

The campaign lasts the entire month, aiming to provide diapers to families in Central Texas who are struggling to afford them.

The details

The nonprofit is asking the community for diapers, wipes, and monetary donations in July. The goal is to collect 75,000 diapers within the month.

Donations during this time of year tends to slow, according to an Austin Diaper Bank news release.


“We believe no parent should have to choose between food and diapers,” said Kim Parker, Austin Diaper Bank Executive Director, in a statement. “This drive gives everyone—from businesses to book clubs—a way to make a direct impact this summer.”

Austin Diaper Bank was founded in 2013 and distributes diapers and wipes to 40 partner agencies in six Central Texas Counties. About 1.8 million diapers are provided by the nonprofit to over 36,000 families in Central Texas annually, according to the news release.
