From Halloween weekend festivities to live music, fundraising events and winter holiday celebrations, Austin area residents have a variety of events to attend Oct. 30-Nov. 2.

Spicewood Springs Branch 40th Birthday Party

Haunted Trail

The city of Bee Cave will have a spooky trail to explore this fall, recommended for ages 13 and up. There will be food trucks and restrooms at the end of the trail.Cedar Park


Día de los Muertos Loteria

The Austin Steam Train Association will celebrate Día de los Muertos with five rounds of loteria with prizes for each round and the chance to win a $300 gift card towards a future steam train ride. Attendees are encouraged to dress up as each car will host a Calavera outfit contest with prizes.Dripping Springs

28th annual Empty Bowls Project

The largest annual fundraiser for the Dripping Springs Helping Hands food pantry returns where attendees can pick a handmade ceramic bowl of soup.Georgetown


Hazardous waste collection event

The city of Georgetown will host a collection event for hazardous waste materials such as batteries, cellphones, hearing aids and pool chemicals. Participants must register online prior to the event. Registration will be capped at 500 people. In order to participate, community members must be customers of the Texas Disposal Systems in the city of Georgetown.

Dueling Pianos Glow in the Dark Halloween

Music lovers of all ages can gather at the Fieldhouse at the Crossover to enjoy dueling pianos on the main stage. Attendees are encouraged to wear their costumes, listen to some live music and check out the food trucks.Liberty Hill


Christmas Reveal

Visit Simply Home Boutique for its 14th annual Christmas Reveal where each room in the yellow house gets turned into a unique winter wonderland. Attendees are also invited to shop decor, fashion and holiday gifts at the boutique.Pflugerville

Round Rock


Fill the Cop Car

The Round Rock Police Department, in partnership with the U.S. Army, will hold its annual food drive benefitting the Round Rock Area Serving Center. Donations of nonperishable food items will be collected at three H-E-B locations in Round Rock to go to low-income people and families in crisis situations.

Dia De Los Muertos

The 12th annual Dia de los Muertos Celebration will take place at Centennial Plaza in Round Rock in November. The festival celebrates traditions, culture and community, featuring a parade, live music, food, art and more. Proceeds will go to the Round Rock Ballet Folklorico.San Marcos

Senior Health Fair

Free health screenings and wellness resources will be offered to adults ages 60 and older. No registration is required.Texas Capital Air Show

Benefiting the Wings & Warriors Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing veteran and first responder suicide, the air show will feature pilots performing in eight types of aircraft. General admission attendees should bring lawn chairs.
