What to know
Community members can make plans to attend the event on Sept. 21 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. where they can shop locally and support BIPOC-owned businesses.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn how to play mahjong hosted by Mahjong Mafia and admire art created by Austin-based artists in a curated community gallery hosted by TexPopATX.
“When we first imagined EASTxELEVEN, we wanted it to feel like a true neighborhood project—something by the community and for the community,” Ben Cachila, co-owner of East 11th Street sister restaurants Old Thousand and Electric Gravy said. “Being a good neighbor means opening your doors, lifting up local talent and making space for connection.”

The event is co-hosted by Lucky Market Festival and all proceeds will benefit East Austin-based nonprofit DAWA.
“East 11th has such a deep history and vibrant culture,” Peter D’Souza, co-owner of Electric Gravy, said. “The Lucky Neighbors Brunch Market is our way of starting something that feels joyful, rooted, and welcoming to all.”
Tickets for the event are available on Eventbrite and range between $7-$33. Children five and under can attend the event for free.
