Community members can check out several new cuisine options in the Austin, Bastrop, Hutto and Cedar Park areas including a Tex-Mex destination and a long-awaited cafe and bar. This list is not comprehensive.

1. Jo’s Coffee

The coffee shop has debuted its ninth location which is now serving tacos, pastries, coffee and more beverages in West Campus near The University of Texas at Austin.

2. LEONA Botanical Cafe & Bar

The new space is crafted by the husband-and-wife team of DEE DEE, Lakana and Justin Trubiana, and sisters Reyna and Maritza Vazquez of Veracruz All Natural. Featuring Thai cuisine and Mexican dishes alongside specialty coffee and cocktails, the recently launched concept sculpts a local destination for all occasions.3. Mama Betty’s


The new location features the same menu items as its Avery Ranch location, offering Tex-Mex favorites, such as quesadillas, enchiladas, fajitas and homemade tortillas. For those looking to pair a cocktail with dinner, the drink menu offers an assortment of margaritas as well as other signature cocktails and beer options.4. Smokey Mo’s BBQ

Smokey Mo’s BBQ is now serving up slow-smoked brisket, turkey, pork and more for Bastrop residents in the Burleson Crossing shopping center. The location—which offers dine-in, takeout, delivery and catering—marks the 22nd in Texas.

5. Taco Bell

The restaurant offers specialities like the Crunchwrap Supreme, Mexican pizzas and grilled cheese burritos. The new location is next to the QuikTrip gas station that opened along SH 130 last year.Coming soon

6. Lumi’s Crepes & Coffee


Lumi’s serves a range of French-inspired crepes using Belgian waffle styles and authentic white, milk and dark chocolate imported from Belgium. While the food trucks specialize in sweet crepes, the Cedar Park location will also serve savory crepes such as the French Onion Steak Crepe. The restaurant will also offer paninis and a wide range of coffee drinks.
