In a news release, the company stated its motivation behind the new location.
“The popular Austin-based Japanese soul food brand wanted to give [The University of Texas. at Austin] campus and community its very own Ramen Tatsu-Ya,” the company stated. “So when the small grab [and] go space came available, the company jumped at the opportunity.”

The restaurant team has five additional locations throughout Austin, one in Round Rock and one in Houston.
