Long known for its unapologetic personality and serious sandwich game, JewBoy Sub Shop will be closing its North Austin location this month, the last day of service July 20.

“Our lease is up and other opportunities call,” the company wrote in a social media post.

The details

The sub shop opened in 2021 as the second brick-and-mortar for Jewboy, which originated as a burger food truck on Airport Boulevard. Inspired by both Border and Reform Jewish culture, the menu boasted a collection of overstuffed subs piled high with house-made meats, cheeses and deli-style toppings.

“Gone, but not forgotten is the theme here as many of our menu items, or versions of them will make their way into our other locations. Stay tuned for our next journey starting next month,” the company’s statement continues.
