Austin natives and newcomers alike can agree Cielo has been a common name in the Austin downtown scene for many years.

However, the nightclub recently shared its goodbyes with the local community as it closes.

What to know

The nightclub announced in an Instagram post it would be operating its last night of business on July 19.

The business was established in 2009 and has boosted a Latin nightlife atmosphere in the city since its creation.

Dancers could find a mix of DJs playing at the venue featuring salsa, merengue, bachata, reggaeton, cumbia and electro latino.
