Foreign & Domestic is celebrating 15 years of serving farm-to-table dishes in the North Loop area this spring.

The details

Founded in 2010, the restaurant focuses on locally sourced and sustainable food. The menu rotates seasonally and features dishes crafted from local, farm-fresh produce. The wine list includes selection from organic and small family-run vineyards.

In the past, seasonal menu items have included gruyere and black pepper popovers, steak tartare, melted leek risotto, market fish, bavette steak, nose-to-tail dishes such as goat hear bolognese and more, according to the business website.

Marking the occasion

Chef-owners Nathan Lemley and Sarah Heard are hosting a dinner series “The Chefs Who Shaped Us” and a “Parking Lot Pig Roast” to celebrate the 15-year feat.

The three-part dinner series will bring in chefs who have collaborated with Lemley and Heard who have made an impact in the business’s growth and success, according to a news release.

Foreign & Domestic will round out the occasion with a free whole roasted pig roast in their parking lot. The food will be free, with beer and wine available for purchase.

“As we celebrate 15 years of Foreign & Domestic, we’re filled with gratitude for the amazing chefs, collaborators, and supporters who’ve helped shape our journey,” Lemley said. “We can’t wait to bring together some of the most talented chefs and friends who’ve been part of our story to celebrate with you all and share the meals and moments that have defined us.”

Tickets are sold separately for each chef dinner event and are available for purchase on www.fndaustin.com.
