Construction on the Mansions at Stone Hill, a planned 370-unit apartment complex behind the Stone Hill Town Center, is expected to be under way in early February, with apartments available by Nov. 1, according to Western Rim Property Services officials.
The new project is the second apartment complex that Western Rim Property Services, which specializes in luxury and senior apartment development, plans on building near Toll 130.
Western Rim officials said the other apartment complex near the tollway is The Mansions at Star Ranch Country Club at 605 Winterfield Drive in Hutto.
According to David Meyeres, director of leasing and a development partner for NewQuest—which developed Stone Hill Town Center—the complex is expected to cost $40 million.
Developers said the main reason they chose their site at Stone Hill Town Center is the accessibility to retail venues, specifically within walking distance, The Mansions at Stone Hill residents will have.
Stone Hill Town Center, Pflugerville's largest retail center, boasts nationwide anchor retailers such as Target, Home Depot, 24 Hour Fitness, Best Buy and a Cinemark movie theater as well as several chain fast-food restaurants.
