New Braunfels Utilities has opened a water station for residents impacted by the boil water notice that was put into place on the morning of Feb. 2.

Due to power outages caused by the winter weather, a boil water notice was issued for residents to customers in the Riverchase Pressure Zone, which is positioned in the Hunter area.

The Gruene United Methodist Church Mission and Outreach building located at 2629 E. Common St. in New Braunfels has been dedicated as the water and warming station. Residents should enter from Common Street and exit onto Old FM 306, according to NBU.

Up to 12 bottles of water per vehicle or household is available, and residents can bring containers up to 5 gallons in size to fill, NBU said.

Until further notice, the water station will be open Feb. 2 from 1 to 8 p.m. and Feb. 3 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
