Hinman Island Drive will be closed down between Liberty Avenue and Elizabeth Avenue on Friday, May 22, from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.

The street closure will allow work crews to install a prefabricated, 550-square-foot restroom facility in Hinman Island Park. The parks aging facilities were removed last month.

If weather and other factors permit, the installation will require just the single day of closure.

According to the city, drivers should expect detours and may wish to seek an alternate route.
