Dr. Susan Hudson, a reproductive endocrinologist who has operated her private practice—the Fertility Institute of Texas—in New Braunfels for the past five years, recently joined the Texas Fertility Center.
Hudson said her new affiliation with the largest fertility group in Central Texas will allow for expanded fertility care services locally.
“In fertility care, you may be coming to the clinic two to three times per week,” she said, noting the complex timing of procedures and treatments that are required with fertility medicine. “We have things available in larger clinics like a larger donor egg pool. Sometimes we can get better financing options.”
Hudson said she developed a working relationship with TFC while using their in vitro fertilization labs the past four years.
"Everyone at Texas Fertility Center is looking forward to working even more closely with Dr. Hudson,” TFC Medical Director Dr. Kaylen Silverberg said in a statement. “Her impressive educational background, extensive experience, passion for providing exceptional fertility care and the convenient New Braunfels location make her an excellent addition to our team. We are proud to expand the Texas Fertility Center family so that we can serve more men and women who are seeking world-class fertility treatment that's close to home.”
Hudson’s clinic is located at 705 Generations Drive, Ste. 102, New Braunfels. She said one in seven couples have fertility challenges and encourages them to seek care.
“It’s very common,” Hudson said. “Each couple who comes in is unique. We’ve got fantastic success rates and offer less aggressive treatments to IVF. We can tailor-make what’s going to be the best decision for each couple.”
Hudson earned her bachelor of science and medical degrees at Texas A&M University. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Scott & White in Temple, followed by fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology/infertility at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
