New Braunfels’ well-known Gruene Hall hosted country music artist Scotty McCreery during the week of Oct. 18 as he filmed an upcoming music video.

McCreery, who won "American Idol"’s tenth season at the age of 16, and his team shot the video for his song “Damn Straight," which is part of the artist’s fifth album titled “Same Truck," which was released in September.

The album is described as an homage to George Strait, a country music star who got his start at Gruene Hall, according to a press release.

While the album is available for purchase or streaming, a release date for the music video has yet to be announced.
