Liberty Hill ISD has rezoned some students to attend new campuses next school year.
The LHISD board of trustees approved attendance zones for the 2026-27 school year at a Feb. 16 meeting. The rezoning comes as LHISD prepares to open four new campuses over the next two school years.
A closer look
Lariat Trails Elementary is slated to open in the Lariat neighborhood in North Liberty Hill in August. Under the new attendance zones, students living in Sundance Estates, Northgate Ranch and Lariat neighborhoods will attend Lariat Trails as well as students living near CR 214 and CR 200, including the Clearwater Ranch and Sundance Ranch communities, according to district information.
In August of 2027, Saddleback Elementary is scheduled to open in the Saddleback at Santa Rita Ranch community in East Liberty Hill. Saddleback Elementary will pull students from the Saddleback subdivision, Rancho Santa Fe community and homes near CR 258 and FM 3405.

Legacy Ranch Middle School will open to sixth through eighth grade students next school year off CR 258. The district named former Belton ISD principal Peter Bongard as the campus's principal at the Feb. 16 meeting.
Students living east of US 183 but west of Ronald Reagan Boulevard will attend Legacy Ranch Middle School while most students residing east of Ronald Reagan Boulevard will attend Santa Rita Middle School. Students living west of US 183 will continue attending Liberty Hill Middle School.

The district will continue using the same high school attendance zones in which students west of US 183 attend Liberty Hill High School and students east of US 183 attend Legacy Ranch High School.
The official Legacy Ranch High School campus will open to ninth through eleventh grade students in the fall. The district’s second high school first opened to incoming ninth graders at the Legacy Ranch Middle School campus in the 2024-25 school year.

LHISD will rezone most students at Louine Noble Elementary to attend Saddleback Elementary in the 2027-28 school year, a LHISD spokesperson said.
The district is considering transforming the Louine Noble campus into a prekindergarten center in August of 2026 or 2027. District officials will make a final recommendation to the board of trustees at the March 9 meeting, according to district information.
