Owner Cecelia Fortney said it didn’t feel right to be open during that time.
“I cannot open this place when they’re back there literally searching for bodies. I can’t do that,” she said, noting her property has access to Sandy Creek.
As the floodwaters subside and local residents get back to their daily routine, the saloon is now back to help restore some normalcy. The saloon has re-opened under temporary adjusted hours until mid-September. It’s currently open evenings Thursdays through Sundays and on Tuesdays.
What’s going on?
Fortney said the prolonged closure created issues for the bar, but she is trying to get past them as she brings the venue back to regular operations.
“We lost all our employees,” she said, noting the venue’s closure made it necessary for staff to find work elsewhere.

Fortney first opened the bar in 2024. She credits her son with the idea of starting the outdoor venue-style bar with food trucks.
She said he was the vision behind the business before leaving to operate restaurants in Lakeway, and Fortney is keeping his vision alive.
What you need to know
The venue has an ice cream truck on-site on weekends, and the food trucks offer burgers and Tex-Mex. The facility also has picnic tables, playscapes for children, pickleball courts, an outdoor arcade and an inflatable waterslide.
Fortney explained that there is a “parents bar” that is positioned close to the venue’s play structures so parents can grab a drink while watching their kids.
“Families come down there and they hang out, it’s much cooler, it’s shadier, the kids play on the playscapes,” she said.
What else?
Nameless Saloon often has live music on weekends, and Fortney said there will be more music events once the weather gets cooler.
