The first Austin-area location of Daddy’s Chicken Shack is now scheduled to open in August, after originally being planned for an early 2024 opening.

Originating in California, Daddy’s Chicken Shack sells chicken sandwiches, salads, sweets and breakfast food, such as burritos and waffles.

A company representative said the new restaurant will offer an outdoor space with shade for the parents and a play area for the kids. The location will also be the first to serve beer and wine.

Daddy’s Chicken Shack in Leander is owned by franchisees Chuck and Nicole Goddard.

“Even as a fast-casual, we would love our neighbors in the surrounding communities to have a place where they can relax a bit from a long day, enjoy some quality time with family, and maybe even catch a game on the outdoor TVs,” Chuck Goddard said in an email statement to Community Impact.
