City Council approved the annexation of 337.29 acres off Nameless Road that will be developed as the Oakwood Hills Subdivision, according to agenda documents.
The property sits roughly .3 miles north of the intersection of Nameless Road and Shady Mountain Road.
Two-minute impact
Current plans involve about 174 lots ranging in size from one to two acres, according to the documents.
The lots are set to be served by city water, but they will use private septic systems for wastewater.
There was also a limit set on the number of building permits, disallowing the owner from applying for more than 184 residential lots below 965 feet of elevation in the area until an elevated water storage tank is completed on Hero Way, according to the documents.
What else?
According to the documents, a significant flood plain extends through the proposed development. Additionally, a water model showed the city will be able to provide water for up to 184 lots without improving its water system.
