Qahwah House

A new coffee shop selling Yemeni coffee, tea and pastries held its official opening in Leander in late 2025. Owner Adil Mufti said the practice of brewing and roasting coffee beans originated in Yemen, and the shop tries to maintain the standards of the original coffee roasters. Qahwah imports coffee beans directly from Yemen and adheres to traditional brewing and roasting methods. Baristas are rigorously trained over three weeks to maintain consistent quality.Advance Auto Parts

The first Advance Auto Parts store in Leander is now open. The store sells auto parts and accessories. It also offers free services including check engine light scanning, battery testing and installation of some parts including wiper blades and batteries.Jersey Mikes


The sandwich shop officially opened in December, serving cold subs, hot subs, drinks, sides and desserts in Leander at Hero Way Crossing. The franchise is owned by Corby Cronin and open seven days a week, joining 3,255 locations nationwide.

Dau Sushi, led by owner and executive chef Dau Maran, brings more than 15 years of Japanese culinary experience to Leander area, blending traditional dishes with inventive sushi creations. The restaurant offers fresh sashimi and chef-driven specialties that balance classic technique with modern flair, according to the company’s website.Coming soon

Cedar Tech

A new development near Scottsdale Drive in Leander is set to bring over 350,000 square feet of industrial and flex industrial space once ready for tenant occupancy in the third quarter of 2026.


The development broke ground in the third quarter of 2025, and construction is expected to continue for about a year.BASIS Leander

A new tuition-free elementary school, middle school and high school—serving grades K–12—has opened in Leander. Sky Zone

Construction on a new 29,000-square-foot Sky Zone location is expected to begin in March, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing. The project is expected to include a new indoor trampoline park, cafe and kitchen area, rooms for private events and lounge and office space. Work on the trampoline park is set to conclude in November.Chipotle Mexican Grill


A new Chipotle Mexican Grill location is proposed for East Crystal Falls Parkway in Leander, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing. Build-out for the 2,385-square-foot space is projected to start in early May and conclude in October. The project is expected to cost about $1.2 million, according to the filing. Currently, there is only one other Chipotle located in Leander, which opened in September 2022, according to previous Community Impact reporting.Hopdoddy Burger Bar

According to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing, construction on a new Hopdoddy Burger Bar is slated to begin in early January as part of the Gateway 29 development. Work is set to last until late June, the filing states. The burger restaurant has seven locations in the Austin area. This will be its first spot in Leander.

Rejuvenation Vibe Room

The Leander-based wellness business relocated to a larger suite in early December, co-creators David Aiello and Ellisa Mimlitsch said. The couple opened The Rejuvenation Vibe Room in early 2025 as a separate extension of Mimlitsch’s primary business, Therapy by Ellisa.


The concept offers nonclinical services such as vibroacoustic sound therapy, halotherapy, also known as salt therapy, and Reiki energy healing.Vital Society

Leander wellness business True Test was renamed Vital Society in December. Co-owner Cara Parsons confirmed the name change and said everything else about the business is remaining the same. The wellness concept offers treatment plans for a variety of health and wellness concerns, including hormone replacement therapy, IV vitamin infusions and weight loss management.Worth the trip

JVM Bullion

A new brick-and-mortar JVM Bullion buys and sells a range of gold and silver. Owned by local Vinay Pattni, the company purchases a range of precious metals from customers for cash, including scrap metal, old jewelry, collectable coins, bullion, watches and estate pieces. The appointment-only business also carries gold and silver products for purchase.Claw Haven


The Asian-style claw arcade is owned by Michael Lu, Bradley Wong, Vicky Lee and Peter Song. Claw Haven has a variety of claw machines with prizes including Pokémon plushies, Pop Mart Labubus and Baby Three Blind Boxes. The goal for Claw Haven is for every visitor to leave feeling like a winner, according to the company's website.
