The 50 Yardline Sports Training

Owner Wali Muhammed said the facility specializes in training for speed and agility. The age range for current participants is 6-18. The business offers small group training sessions, one-on-one sessions, performance testing and more.

Bee Organized

The mobile organizing business based out of Leander is now offering its services to the Austin area. Owned by Christina Kjar, the business offers assistance with organizing homes and businesses, moving management, concierge services and more.

Clint’s Liquor #10

The liquor store chain opened its 10th Austin-area store in Leander on July 12. Clint’s has been operating for more than 40 years, and has locations in Austin, Georgetown, Bastrop and more. The store offers a wide selection of beer, wine, liquor, mixers and bartending supplies.

Little Sprouts Pediatric Dentistry

The new dentistry clinic for children opened in the Leander area in June. The office, overseen by Dr. James McNair, provides dental services for young children, including fillings, cleanings, emergency services, preventative care and specialized laser therapy for tongue and lip ties.

One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning of Northwest Austin

The company, which has dozens of branches nationwide, specializes in heating, cooling, and indoor air quality. The new branch is based in Leander but services the entire Northwest Austin metro, including Hudson Bend, Liberty Hill, Georgetown, Lago Vista, Jonestown and Cedar Park.

Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids

The new hair salon for kids held its grand opening July 12. Kids can get their haircuts in a variety of car-shaped barber chairs while watching a selection of cartoons and YouTube videos. Older kids can also use gaming stations to play video games while getting a trim, or can go into the private Tween Lounge for a spa-like pampering experience. The studio also offers manicures, shampoos and styling options.

Coming Soon

Axiom Church

The new house of worship is set to open this fall. Pastor Josiah Weece and his wife, Jessica, envision the church as a place for people who have no relationship or a bad relationship with other churches and want to rebuild.

Building Kidz of Leander

The new early education and performing arts academy will hold its grand opening in early fall. The school has dozens of locations throughout 11 states. The Leander branch will be the first Building Kidz school in Texas.

Pink Zebra Moving of Round Rock

The company specializes in local residential moving services, but is also equipped to perform commercial and long-distance moves. The company, which will primarily service Round Rock, Pflugerville, Hutto, Leander, Cedar Park, Georgetown and Taylor, also offers professional packing services, loading and unloading labor, and furniture rearranging services.

What’s Next

Smiling Donuts

A new branch of the donut chain, which has locations in Round Rock and Pflugerville, is slated to open in September, according to a permit filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The shop offers a menu of doughnuts, pastries and boba teas.

Closings

The Republic Kitchen + Bar

The owners of the business announced the closure in a Facebook post July 9. The restaurant and bar, which offered a wide selection of cocktails, local beers, burgers, wings, and other pub food favorites, had been operating out of Leander since 2019. The owners also manage the Foxhole Culinary Tavern in North Austin.

Austin Regional Clinic

The multispecialty medical group celebrated 45 years of operation July 16. ARC was founded in 1980 by Dr. Norman Chenven and has grown to offer both specialty and primary care across 35 clinics in 15 cities, employing over 450 physicians and advanced practice clinicians, according to the clinic.

BLUSH Boot Camp

Co-owners Nancy Winston and Julie Benavides took over the women-only workout facility July 7. BLUSH aims to provide a space for women to feel safe and build community. The business also provides a place for women who may not be able to work out in front of men due to religious reasons.

Independence Title

The title company, which has offices in Leander and throughout the Austin metro, celebrated its 20th anniversary. The company was started in 2005 by Brian Pitman and Jay Southworth and has grown to become one of the largest title companies in the state, with offices in Austin, Houston, Dallas and San Antonio.

United States Postal Service

The U.S. Postal Service is celebrating its 250th anniversary with new stamps, merchandise and a contest. To mark two and a half centuries, USPS officials invite the public to vote on a previously issued stamp to be re-released in 2026. Voting runs July 23-Sept. 30 online. Commemorative stamps and other items are also being released.

Back 2 The Video Store

The pop-up bar recreates a video store experience accompanied by themed cocktails and mocktails inspired by '90s and 2000s releases. Featured movies include "Jaws," "Indiana Jones," "Titanic," "The Big Lebowski" and "Men in Black." The pop-up will remain open until Sept. 7, as stated on its website.
