A new laser tag and mini golf facility is opening soon in Liberty Hill.
Kitfoxy’s Putt Putt & Pew Pew is slated to open on August 7. The 8,750 square foot facility will feature 2,000 square feet of space for the laser tag arena, in addition to two miniature golf courses with nine holes each. Owner Karen Rodriguez, who operates Kitfoxy’s with her husband, Miguel, said her team has had a lot of fun designing creative courses for all ages.
The facility has two party rooms that can be reserved for private events. Currently, the business can only offer pre-packaged foods like chips and sodas, but Karen said she is hoping to add in-house dining options and a video arcade as part of the company’s future expansion.
More details
The company’s distinctive name came from Karen’s upbringing in southern California, where she developed an affinity for the kit foxes indigenous to the area.
“Early in our marriage, we did online AOL chat rooms and did some computer gaming,” Karen said. “[My] online and gaming name was Kitfoxy, so we thought it would be cute to stay with that theme for our new business.”
"Putt Putt & Pew Pew" is a throwback to when Karen and Miguel's son was very young.
"When our son was a toddler, he never called anything by its name. It was always the sound it made or the action it did. So, this inspired the Putt Putt & Pew Pew, instead of... mini golf and laser tag."
