The Leander Chamber of Commerce plans to build a facility at 1600 S. West Drive, Leander.

The building, which will be around 3,000-4,000 square feet, will serve as the new Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center, according to Chamber President Bridget Brandt.

The new building will support tourism in the area by offering information on attractions and local services, Brandt said. The facility will also host chamber events and networking opportunities.

There’s no firm timeline of when the new building will be constructed yet, but Brandt said the chamber hopes to start construction within a year and hopes to finish the project within the next five years. A cost estimate is not yet available.
