April 9: Fun Run Field Day. Sponsored by the Down Syndrome Association of Central Texas, the sixth annual event helps raise awareness and knowledge about Down syndrome and fundraise of the organization. The day’s activities will include a 1-mile course distance run, sponge relays, photo booth, face painting and music. April 9: Spring Egg-Stravaganza. The Leander Parks and Recreation Department hosts the annual candy hunt in Leander. Participants should bring their own baskets.
