Black Walnut Cafe announced June 22 the permanent closure of both its Austin locations after seven years in the Austin area. The closure will be effective immediately at the Four Points location at 10817 RM 2222, Austin, as well as at the location in Austin Commons.

Faced with the COVID-19 pandemic, the owners felt the best course of action was to close both locations, according to a statement on the company’s website.

“We know it has been a challenging time and we especially appreciate your support over the last few months,” the statement reads.

The closure will not impact the cafe’s existing locations in Houston or Dallas. The phone number is no longer in service at either Austin location.
