Lakeway City Council awarded the construction contract for the Butler Rough Hollow Park development project to Millis Development and Construction on April 20, following a competitive bidding process with nine submissions.
The overview
The city sent an invitation to bid to contractors beginning Feb. 10 through April 1. Of the nine submissions, Millis Development and Construction was identified as the lowest responsive bidder, with a total bid of $2,072,196.
The construction company had previously been hired by the city of Frisco and Fort Bend County for similar projects, and each scored Millis Development and Construction a nine out of 10 based on overall performance. The bids were reviewed by Dunaway Associates, a design and engineering firm hired by the city in 2025.
