The background

The city recently created several new committees, including a historic subcommittee, tasked with preserving and documenting the history of Bee Cave. The committee was created after King said that the city lacks proper documentation and that much of the local knowledge regarding city history is carried by older residents.

At a March 11 meeting, council members discussed several strategies that the new committee could use to document Bee Cave’s history, including conducting interviews with local residents.

What else?

Council also discussed updates to the city’s code of ordinances at its May 27 meeting. More information on changes made is available on the city’s website.
