The district received 94 points out of a possible 100 points both years.

A, B and C ratings are considered passing, while D and F are failing.
All of EISD's campuses received an A in 2024 and 2025, with the exception of Valley View Elementary.
Valley View, which closed at the end of the 2024-25 school year, received a B in 2024.
EISD has overall received an A rating since the system was implemented; however, ratings were not released for any district in 2020 or 2021 due to COVID-19.

Looking back
The rating system was established during the 2017 legislative session and updated in 2023. Scores take into account performance data such as State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness, or STAAR, scores; college, career and military, or CCMR, readiness; and graduation rates.
Last August, 33 school districts sued the TEA, arguing that the agency made it "mathematically impossible" for some schools to earn a high score and waited too long to notify districts about changes made to the system.
The 2023-24 ratings were blocked by a judge from being released, but that was overturned in July.
The 2022-23 ratings were also blocked by a judge after over 100 school districts sued the TEA in 2023 after the system was revamped, citing similar concerns.
However, that ruling was also overturned, and the ratings were released in April. EISD did not join either lawsuit.
The TEA later announced in July that the 2023-24 and 2024-25 ratings would be released Aug. 15, according to recent Community Impact reporting.
“Millions of dollars and thousands of hours of work by teachers, administrators and experts have been invested in creating the A-F ratings system; courts can decide only whether it is legal, not whether it is wise or fair, much less commandeer the job of running it,” Chief Justice Scott Brister wrote in the ruling.
Looking ahead
The rating system is refreshed every five years and is slated to see an update in 2028, according to TEA officials. Its Performance Reporting division has launched a survey to gather input on the refreshed system, which will begin collecting data in the 2027-28 school year.
