Schmidt Family Barbecue now closed in Bee Cave

After 12 years in the area, Schmidt Family Barbecue closed in the Bee Cave area in October.

Owned by Susie Schmidt-Franks and Chad Franks, the restaurant was part of a family barbecue dynasty including Lockhart’s Kreuz Market and Smitty’s Market.

Sweetgreen opens Westlake location Nov. 11


A new location of Sweetgreen opened in Westlake this November. The restaurant serves salads, bowls, protein plates and sides. A new Late Fall Menu is also available, with dishes such as the Garlic Parm Cauli Bowl and the Chicken Cauli Plate.
