The healthy, European-style eatery offered an array of diverse dishes for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, such as the crab cake eggs benedict, open-faced sandwiches, salads, soups, savory mushroom crepes and more.
Inspired by her travels across the continent as a flight attendant and model in Europe, owner Amy Ramirez opened the first location of Blue Dahlia Bistro in 2007 in East Austin. After launching the Westlake location in 2012, Ramirez opened a San Marcos location in 2017. The East Austin location shuttered in 2020 due to pandemic-related strains.
The San Marcos location at 107 E. Hopkins Street will remain open, restaurant officials said in an Instagram post bidding farewell to the Westlake community.
“Thank you for being a part of our journey,” Blue Dahlia Bistro officials announced on social media April 22. “As our lease concludes on April 30th 2024, we reflect on the cherished memories made in this community since 2007.”
