Longhorn Village, located at 12501 Longhorn Parkway in Steiner Ranch, has expanded its facilities to include a new 48-unit building, bringing new amenities and residents to the senior living community.

The overview

The new 136,000-square-foot building features 48 homes, with six homes per floor, as well as an underground parking facility, shared courtyard and club room, according to a news release shared by the business.

“This expansion allows us to continue delivering the impeccable service and experiences the growing population deserve and building upon a higher caliber of life enrichment while evolving to address the needs of a new generation of retirees,” said Nichole Ulrich, executive director of Longhorn Village, in the news release.

Residents began moving into the new facility May 20. Ulrich said that nearly all units are now reserved, and waitlists are growing.

The details

The new expansion was developed by Greenbriar Development and designed by Perkins Eastman, with construction services provided by White Construction.

Longhorn Village, which opened in 2009, offers independent living, assisted living, memory care, nursing and rehabilitation. The facility was founded in partnership with The University of Texas’ Texas Exes program and is currently operated by Brazos Presbyterian Homes Holding Inc.

Amenities at the facility include a dining room, cafe, bar, recreation room, woodworking shop, club room and theater.
