Diving in deeper
Pinch a Penny Pool Patio Spa offers a variety of services and products for customers. The family-owned business spearheaded by Kevin Bell is located near High 5 in Lakeway.
The location sells liquid chlorine shock, or sodium hypochlorite, in bulk through refillable jugs. Additional water chemistry items are available for pools and spas, alongside a full line of pumps, filtration, automation systems, parts and more, Bell said.
“All of our chemicals are manufactured in Clearwater, Florida. ... Our claim to fame is our quality products, which are manufactured by us,” Bell said.
The store also sells a stock of pool toys and pool accessories such as nets and brushes.
Alongside products, the business offers a weekly pool service alongside renovations and repairs performed in-house, Bell said. Free water testing is also available.
A grand opening for the store is planned for Aug. 9-10, and will feature snow cones, activities for all ages, demos and more.
What else?
In the wake of devastating floods over July 4 weekend, the business is accepting donations during business hours to support relief efforts for items such as water, nonperishable food items, trash bags, cleaning supplies, towels and more. Items will be delivered to established collection points in Kerr County, according to the business.
