The 5th Annual Austin Greek Festival is coming to the West Austin area on Memorial Day weekend.

Presented by the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church, the event is a celebration of Greek culture and will feature numerous festivities, such as live music by an authentic Greek band, performances from professional Greek dancers, Greek dance lessons, shopping for Greek souvenirs and kid-friendly activities.

In addition to performances and activities, the event will offer several options to experience Greek cuisine such as lamb, spanakopita or spinach greek pie, gyros, saganaki or flaming cheese, baklava, Greek beer and wine.

Interactive tours of the church will be available, which will allow guests to view Byzantine art and iconography alongside learning about the history of the Orthodox religion. Parking for the event is free.
