Lost Creek Country Club has rebranded as Westlake Country Club following multimillion-dollar renovations to its golf course, clubhouse, pool and racket sports facilities that began in 2022.

The multiphase project will mark the largest transformation in the club's 50-year history.

Golf course renovations will be completed in November, while changes to the tennis courts and clubhouse are set to finish in 2024. The country club is located at 2612 Lost Creek Blvd., Austin.

What's changing?

The renovation plans include the following updates:
  • Racquet sports: Adding eight pickleball courts, tennis court resurfacing, enhanced lighting and new landscaping.
  • Golf course: Increasing course variety, the addition of a short practice course, lengthened driving ranges and an enhanced irrigation system.
  • Pool area: Replaced wood decking with composite decking, retiled the pool, added shade around the pool, new pool furniture and a new sound system.
  • Sports Club: Expanded the existing bar, now called The Roost, and added new furniture, shaded seating options and outdoor misters
Quote of note:

“Both long-time residents of Austin or those who are new to the area, we are excited to open our doors to what will be a totally new experience," Westlake Country Club General Manager Chip Gist said in a press release. "With views of the surrounding vistas and landscape, our club offers a secluded Hill Country retreat just 10 minutes from downtown. Interest is already exceeding our expectations and will continue to build as we debut the course in November."
