With several theater groups in the Lake Travis area presenting stage productions this summer, here are three shows local residents may be interested in attending.

‘The Spongebob Musical’

Magnolia Musical Theatre is bringing "The Spongebob Musical" to Bee Cave audiences this summer, in partnership with the Bee Cave Development Corporation. The family-friendly production will take place on the lawn in front of Bee Cave Public Library, and will feature singing, dancing, and vibrant costumes.

‘Bye Bye Birdie’

TexArts’ "Bye Bye Birdie" will present the 1950s-era story of teen idol and military draftee Conrad Birdie, who says goodbye to his hometown by staging one final performance. The musical will take place at TexARTS new facility at 1110 S. RR 620.

‘Bring it On: The Musical’

Based on the 2000 film “Bring it On”, the Zilker Theater Productions musical tells the story of a competitive cheerleader named Campbell who must navigate high school politics and romance while preparing for national championships.
