Each of Georgetown's three ZIP codes saw median home sales prices decline between 5.8%-6.1% year over year in August, according to recently released data from the Austin Board of Realtors and Unlock MLS.

This decline is on par with trends seen across the Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos metropolitan statistical area, according to an Unlock MLS news release, where median home prices declined by 4.4% year over year in August.

Home prices in ZIP code 78628 remained the highest year over year, averaging about half a million dollars, the data shows.


The majority of homes sold in August across all three ZIP codes sold for between $300,000-$499,000, according to the data.

However, homes sold in each of the following price brackets.





The number of homes sold in the Georgetown area remained relatively stable year over year, with each ZIP code seeing slight fluctuations of between two and five houses.


On average, Georgetown area homes spent fewer days on the market this August compared to last August, the data shows.

ZIP code 78628 saw the largest year-over-year decline of 20.69%, resulting in homes staying on the market a little more than two months, or 69 days. Homes in this ZIP code spent more days on the market on average than those in any other Georgetown ZIP code.
