New outdoor play space Golden Bear Park now open in Georgetown

Golden Bear Park opened Oct. 8 at 107 Golden Bear Drive, Georgetown, and features two playscapes, a swing set, a drinking fountain, a bike rack and a trail, information from the city said.

The 2.7-acre space is located in the Berry Creek neighborhood.


"The park has been designated a Playcore Play On! Playground demonstration site, promoting physical activity and fun by implementing design best practices to intentionally promote physical activity through active play and encourage the developmental progression of skills through healthy movement," city officials said.
